DASHNEY, Wellesley Anson WWII Wellesley was born on January 15, 1920 in Harris, SK. He enlisted with the R.C.A.S.C. in July of 1941. He served in Canada until his discharge on December 18, 1945. After the war he farmed with his father and then went to work for SK Power Hi-Lines Construction in May of 1952. He married Lulubelle Allen on July 23rd, 1958 and they raised 5 children. Wellesley retired on April 30th, 1983 and currently enjoying time with his 10 grandchildren, puttering around the house and carpet bowling. DAYTON, Claude Edgar WWII Claude was born on December 25, 1923 in Denzil, SK. He enlisted with the Army in January of 1943. He served with the South Saskatchewan Regiment in Canada, England, France, and Germany. He returned home in 1946 and married Salma Clark. They lived on the family homestead in Beacon Hill and raised two daughters. Claude passed away on January 7, 1953 at Goodsoil Hospital. DAYTON, George Charles WWII George was born on March 14, 1925 in Camrose, AB. He joined the Army and served in England, Italy, and Holland. He was wounded in action, was discharged and married Laura Bandle on June 11th, 1947 and raised 5 children, two boys and three girls. George passed away in August of 1992. DEACON, Robert Albert “Bert” WWII Bert enlisted with the Army on April 29, 1941. He served with the R.C.E. in Canada until his discharge on March 5, 1942. DeGRUCHY, Fransis WWII Fransis was born in 1915. He enlisted in Saskatoon. SK with the Army in 1943. He served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in Germany where he was wounded in action in 1945.
