CRAMER, Lawrence “Larry” WWII Larry was born in 1920 in Tisdale, SK and his family later moved to the Addington area. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on June 7, 1941. He served as an Air Gunner in Canada and Europe until his discharge on June 9, 1945 with 38 ops to his credit. He received the D.F.C. as a capable and alert gunner displaying coolness and devotion to duty of a high order. He married an English war bride and later moved to BC. Larry passed away on October 27, 1988. CRASHLEY, Kenneth James WWII Kenneth was born on March 25, 1923 in Carleville, SK. He enlisted with the Canadian Army and served during the Second World War. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Big River Branch #136. Kenneth passed away on July 30, 1988. CREIGHTON, Donald WWII Donald was born on December 30, 1924 in Nanton, AB. He enlisted with the Army on September 8, 1943. He served in the C.I.C. with the Winnipeg Rifles in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. He attained the rank of Corporal and was wounded in action on October 8th, 1944. He was awarded the France and Germany Star, the 1939-45 Star, the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He was an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #133 for 34 years and he served as Secretary/Treasurer for over 20 years. Donald passed away on May 7, 2002. CUMMINGS, Garnet WWI Garnet was born in 1895 in Kaladar, ON. He came with his parents in 1908 to the Arborfield area. In 1912 he filed for a homestead and was approved. He enlisted with the Canadian Armed Forces during WWI and served until the end of the war. He married in 1925 and raised 3 children. They eventually moved to Crooked River and retired. Garnet is deceased. No Photo CUMMINGS, Gordon WWII Gordon was born on April 5, 1917 near Arborfield, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on November 6, 1941. He served with the 6th Group Bomber Company in Canada and England until his discharge on October 10, 1945. After the war he married and moved to Powell River, BC. Gordon is deceased.
