COUCH, Donald W. WWII Donald was born in 1918 in Lucky Lake, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in November of 1940 and went to Manning Pool at Brandon, Manitoba, and to St. Thomas, Ontario to become an Aero Engine Mechanic. He was then posted to #12 Service Flying School in Brandon. He served in Canada, India, and Burma until his discharge in November of 1945. He received the following Medals: 1939-45 Star, Burma Star, Victory Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. Donald has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for 61 years between the Beachy Branch # 324 and the Lucky Lake Branch # 209. COUCH, Dougald H. WWII Dougald was born in 1920 in Lucky Lake, SK. He enlisted in the Air Force in October of 1942. He spent the following year in Moose Jaw, SK and St. Thomas, Ontario.He was stationed at #5 Bombing and Gunnery at Dafoe, SK for one year. He then moved to 3rd Jericho Beach, Vancouver and served in Canada until his discharge in Comox, BC in November of 1945. Dougald has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for 61 years between the Beachy Branch # 324 and the Lucky Lake Branch # 209. COULTER, Ross WWII Ross was born on May 3, 1919 in the Armley area and moved to Connell Creek, SK in 1934. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on May 22, 1943. He served as a Wireless Mechanic in Canada until his discharge on October 12, 1945. After the war he married and ran a garage and repair shop. He then moved to Rose Valley to run a hotel until his retirement. Ross is deceased. CRAGG, William “Bill” WWI Bill was born in 1895 in Windsor, Ontario. He later moved to Pollockville, AB and took up a homestead. He enlisted with the Army in 1914, and served overseas with the 2nd Battalion for four years until his discharge. After the war he came to the Arborfield area in 1921. He married in 1927. He was a member of the Arborfield Branch #203 of the British Empire Service League. Bill passed away in May of 1981. No Photo CRAMER, Betty WWII Betty was born in the Addington area, 3 miles from Arborfield. She enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on September 23, 1942. She served with Meteorological Observation in Canada until her discharge on October 19, 1945. After the war she married and moved to Medicine Hat, AB.
