CHASE, Lloyd WWII Lloyd was born on October 22, 1917 in Senlac, SK. He moved to the Moosedale area with his family in 1937 and he took up a homestead. He enlisted with the 2nd Canadian Armed Brigade Tank Corps on April 19, 1942. He served in Canada, England, and was wounded in France. He received his discharge in 1946. He married while in England and they returned home to farm. He received the following medals: Star of France and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. Lloyd passed away on October 6, 2003. CHASE, Orval WWII Orval was born in 1923 in Senlac, SK. He moved with his parents to the Moosedale area in 1937. He enlisted with the R.C.N.V.R. on June 23, 1943. He served aboard HMCS Baddeck and Loch Alvie until his discharge on October 23, 1945. After the war he was married and went into construction work in Saskatoon. He retired to Port Albernie, BC. Orval is deceased. CHATFIELD, Oliver WWII Oliver was born in October of 1918 in Youngtown, Alberta. He came with his parents to Arborfield in 1930. He enlisted with the Army on January 16, 1942. He served with the Kings Own Rifles as a Driver Mechanic in Canada until his discharge in 1946. After the war he married and farmed in the Arborfield area. Oliver passed away on April 12, 1988. CHESWORTH, Herb WWII Herb homesteaded in Carrot River, SK in 1931. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on October 6, 1942. He served with the 428th Squadron as an Armorer in Canada and England until his discharge on February 15, 1946. After the war he sold his land and moved to Birch River, MB and then moved to Creston, BC. CHRISTENSON, Christopher John WWII Christopher was born on March 12, 1921 in Hart, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Engineers and served with the Canadian Mechanical Co. as a SPR in Canada and Continental Europe. He received the following awards: France and Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and the American Bronze Star for heroic achievement as he was wounded in action.
