BURSETT, Arvid A.M. WWII Arvid was born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota and moved to Sheho, SK in April of 1920. He attended Fedcovich School and took his grade 11 exams in Sheho School. He enlisted with the R.C.A.F. in November of 1942. He served in England, Italy and North Africa in the Postal Corps with the Canadian Air Force until his discharge in January of 1946 with the rank of L.A.C. Arvid is married currently resides in Bancroft, SK. BURTON (nee ANDREWS), Florence Ruthie WWII Florence was born in 1925 in Forgan, SK. She enlisted with the C.W.A.C. on October 3, 1944. She served in Canada until her discharge on April 2, 1946. She married George Andrews of Reston, MB. She was a loyal member of the Elizabeth Branch, Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Reston, MB. She was also a long time member of the Dinsmore/Wiseton Branch #210 of the RCL for about 25 years. After returning to Wiseton in 1955, she was confined to bed and was in and out of the University Hospital and was in constant pain. Florence never complained and found solace in her church and God. She passed away in 1976. BURTON, Thomas Allan WWII Thomas was born in 1916 in Abernethy, SK.and spent his childhood there. When he left his bush flying job out of Prince Albert, he enlisted with the Canadian Infantry Corps and served in Canada. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Abernethy Branch #26 for 50 years. Thomas passed away in 1996. BURTON, William Howard WWII William was born on May 18, 1914 in Abernethy, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army during WWII. He served with Anti-Aircraft in Canada and England. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Regina Branch until 1974 when he transferred to the Vancouver Branch. William passed away in 1992. BYBLOW, Metro WWII Metro was born on September 11, 1917 in Whitewood, SK. He moved to Sheho in 1925. He enlisted in the Army on July 13, 1942 and served in the Anti-Aircraft Artillery until his discharge on November 5, 1945 with the rank of Gunner. He married Agnes Ohachinsky in 1951 and they have 2 daughters and 2 sons. In 1963 they moved to Yorkton and worked there until they retired in 1980. After they retired Metro and Agnes moved to Penticton, BC. The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 45
