BROWNFIELD, David Peacetime David enrolled in the Royal Canadian Navy in December of 1961 in Saskatoon by a RCN Recruiting Officer. He served for 25 years until he retired as Rank Chief Petty Officer. BROWNFIELD, John WWII John served with the Army during the Second World War. No Photo BROWNFIELD, Oscar WWII Oscar was born in Big River, SK in 1912. He served as a Radio Operator with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Oscar was accidentally killed a couple of days into WWII. No Photo BROWNFIELD, Richard John Special Duty Richard was born in November of 1944 in Prince Albert, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1963. He served for ten years in Canada, Germany, and the U.S.A. During pilot training he flew the Chipmonk, Harvard and T33. He instructed on the T33 and Tutorʼs training in Moose Jaw, SK. In 1968 he was posted to fly the CF104 and trained in Cold Lake. Richard also served in 2nd World War as a Tank Driver. He retired as Captain in 1973. Richard is a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Abbotsford Branch. BRULE, Urbain Joseph WWII Urbain was born on July 19, 1920 in St. Marthe, SK. He was called into the Army during the Second World War. He spent 4 years serving his country and had been stationed in Regina where he got his training. He was also stationed in Prince Rupert BC with 110 Heavy Artillery, then to Victoria, BC with the same unit. He was then transferred to Camp Shilo, and then to Field Artillery. He was then transferred to North Bay and Chatham, ON where he guarded POWs until his discharge in 1946. Urbain passed away in 1997. The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 41
