BRITTON, Norman WWII Norman was born in 1921 in New Brigden, AB. He joined the 86th Bridge Company, R.C.A.S.C. He served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe.He saw action in the battle of Britain, the Blitz and took part in the landing in Normandy and in the liberation of the Netherlands.After the war, Norman worked for the Cold Lake Military Base until his retirement. He married Ora Tremblay and they raised a family of six children. Norman currently resides in Pierceland, SK. BRITTON, Thomas Martin WWI & WWII Thomas was born in 1892 in Brigden, ON. He joined the Army and served in WWI and WWII. He served with the Rocky Mountain Rangers in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Thomas served most of WWII on the West Coast as a shoemaker for the RCOC. He married Anne Griffiths in Wales in 1919. After the war he worked as a shoemaker and harness maker. He and his wife raised a family of eleven. Two of his sons served in WWII. Thomas passed away in 1955. BROCHU, Angus WWII Angus was born on November 30, 1919 in Arborfield, SK. He enlisted with the Army on May 20, 1941 and served in Canada until his discharge on November 3, 1942. After the war he got married and they farmed in the Arborfield area. Angus passed away on February 25, 2007. BROCHU, Maurice WWII Maurice was born on April 14, 1913. He enlisted with the Army on July 21, 1941 and served as a Vehicle Mechanic AFV in Canada and England until his discharge on November 25, 1945. After the war he got married and they farmed in the area. Maurice passed away on November 9, 1992. BROUGHTON, Vincent WWII Vincent was born in the Stoney View District, north of Sheho, SK. He enlisted with the Canadian Army Active on November 30, 1943. He served in Canada and England until his discharge in June of 1945. After his army service he completed a mechanics class and acquired a journeymanʼs registered Technician Diploma. He is married to Linda Yakimyshen and they have a son and 3 grand children.
