WILLBERG, George Emil WWII & Korean War George was born in 1923 in Maple Creek, SK. He enlisted with the Army during World War Two and served in England, Italy and Europe. He joined the P.P.C.L.I. during the Korean War and was wounded in battle. He was awarded the Presidentʼs Citation for Meritous Service. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion #52 in Kamloops, BC and was Sgt. at Arms at the time of his death. He also served as Zone Sgt. at Arms for a number of years. George passed away in 1976. WILLFORD, David John Korean War David was born in 1935 in Birch Hills, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Army during the Korea War. David passed away in 1980. WILLFORD, Dwight Joy WWI & WWII Dwight was born in 1896 in Garvin, Minnesota. He joined the South Saskatchewan Regiment during World War One in August, 1916 and was shipped to England in April 1917. He served in England ,France, Belgium and Vimy. He rejoined the Army during the Second World War as a Veteran Guard and was stationed at Saskatoon, Elko, Fernie, BC, Medicine Hat and Dundurn. After his discharge, Dwight and his wife lived in Coronach, Sask. Medicine Hat and Abbottford, BC where he served as Commissionaire and was a Legion member in all three places. Dwight passed away in 1976. WILLOWS, Wilmit Alfred WWII Wilmit was born in 1918 in Gull Lake, SK. He volunteered for service with the Calgary Highlanders in 1939. Wilmit was killed in action in France in July of 1944. WILSON, William Alfred WWI William was born on July 8, 1889 in Montreal, Quebec. He enlisted with the Army on September 23, 1918 and served in Canada until his release. He married Bertha Pearce and they raised 3 children.
