WEESE, David WWII David was born on October 15, 1913 in the Arborfield area. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on September 22, 1936 and served with the Canadian Permanent Force at Administration Headquarters in Ottawa. After the war he married and moved to Vancouver. WEESE, Glen WWII Glen was born in Links Mills, ON and moved with his family in 1929 to Arborfield. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on October 15, 1941 and served as Fire Marshall in Canada, Labrador and Alaska. He was injured in Labrador while on active service. He served with the Permanent Force of the R.C.A.F. After the war he moved to Port Stanley, ON. WEESE, Ward WWII Ward was born in Links Mills, ON and moved with his family in 1929 to Arborfield. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on June 11, 1942 and served in Canada and England until his discharge in 1946. After the war he moved to Victoria, BC. WELDON, William “Shorty” WWI William was born on September 23, 1893 in Cardiff, Wales. He came to Ontario in 1902 and in 1914 went to Girvin, SK and worked on farms. He served with the Canadian Army during World War One. After the war he filed for a homestead in the Jordan River area. He married Annie in 1922 and raised a family of 4 children. William passed away in 1983. No Photo WELLS, Burton WWII Burton was born in 1922 in Hazenmore, SK. He joined the Army in 1942 and served in the United Kingdom, North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium, and Holland. In his active duty, he was wounded three times and he would have been eligible to return home, but chose to stay until the end of the war. He arrived back in Canada in November 945 and was discharged in January, 1946. He was married to Bertha Loverick, and they were blessed with two sons, Doug and Dale.
