WARREN, Joley WWII Joley was born in Star City and his family later moved north of Ridgedale. He came to the Arborfield area in 1936 to homestead. In 1939 he went to Vancouver and was married there. He enlisted with the Army on June 18, 1942. He served with the R.C.E. in Canada, England, France, and Holland until his discharge in March of 1946. After the war he returned to Vancouver and they raised a family of 2 children. WARRINER, David T. G. Peacetime David was born in April of 1951 in Big River, SK. He joined the Army and served with the 3rd R.C.R. in Canada, Germany, and Cyprus. He has received the following decorations: UNFICYP-83, UNFCYP2-97, C.D.-83, QGJM-03, SSMENATOBAR-82, 39-CBG-2000, CFPKM-87, CD 2nd Clasp-03, CD Clasp-93. David has been a Member of Big River Branch of The Royal Canadian Legion for 10 years. WARRINER (nee JENNINGS), Eleanor WWI Eleanor was born in June of 1880 in Yorkshire, England. She was a Nurse and served with the British Voluntary Aid Detachment in Yorkshire, England. She nursed wounded soldiers from the front back to health. She received the Kingʼs Medal for good service under extenuating circumstances. Eleanor passed away in January of 1966. WARRINER, John P. Peacetime John was born in October of 1946 in Big River, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Navy and served as a Dry Land Sailor Communications Expert for ten years in Canada. WARRINER, Richard G. H. WWII Richard was born in February of 1906 in Yorkshire, England. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Artillery and served in Canada and England. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Big River Branch #136 for 23 years. Richard passed away in February of 1969. The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 353
