WALTERS, Joe WWII Joe was born in southern Saskatchewan and came with his parents to Arborfield in 1929. He enlisted with the Army on January 7, 1942. He served with the Fort Garry Horse Regiment as a Driver in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany until his discharge on March 11, 1946. After the war he moved to Snow Lake, SK to work until his retirement. WALTON, Cecil WWII Cecil enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in June of 1943. He served in Canada and England in Transport until his discharge in 1946. He married and moved to Flin Flon, Manitoba. WARHURST, Jack WWII Jack was born in 1906 in England. He came to Canada in 1927 and worked in sawmills and for farmers. In 1933 he took up a homestead in the Arborfield area. He enlisted with the Canadian Merchant Navy and served aboard the CQS Alberni, was then transferred to S.S. Brocton and then the S.S. Moose Mountain Park. He received a back injury when a submarine chased the ship on the way to the West Indies. He received his discharge in May of 1946. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Arborfield Legion Branch #203. Jack passed away in 1984. No Photo WARNER, Orville WWII Orville was born in 1924 in the Moose Range District. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on December 3, 1941 and served as a Radar Mechanic in Canada and England until his discharge on November 8, 1945. He married an English war bride and came back to Canada and attended University for 5 years. He re-enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served until his retirement from the military. WARREN, James WWII James was born in 1919 in Arborfield, SK. He enlisted with the Army D Battery Transport in March of 1941 and served in Canada and England until his discharge on June 21, 1944.
