VASEY, Hugh WWII Hugh enlisted with the Army R.C.E.on September 3, 1942 and was transferred to the 4th Canadian Field Squadron and served as a Mail Clerk in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland until his discharge on March 6, 1946. VELLER, Philip T. WWII Philip was born on January 5, 1923 in Saskatchewan. He was a Dispatch Rider, on call twenty-four hours a day. He has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Spiritwood Branch #182 for 40 years. VENNARD, Ernest L. WWII Ernest was born in 1918 in Whitewood, SK. He joined the Canadian Army and served in England, Holland, Germany, France, Canada, and Italy. He served with the Saskatoon Light Infantry and later the Queenʼs Own Rifles. He remained in the Armed Forces until his retirement. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Calgary Branch for 30 years. Ernest passed away in 1998. VENNARD, George A. WWII George was born in 1921 in Whitewood, SK. He enlisted with the Saskatoon Light Infantry. George served in Canada until his discharge in September of 1941. After his discharge he moved to BC and managed Vicʼs Esso Service in Abbotsford, BC. VENNARD, Harold Joseph WWII Harold was born in 1920 in Whitewood, SK. He enlisted with the 4th Division, 9th Field Corps, Royal Canadian Engineers. He served in Canada, England, Holland, France, and Germany until his discharge in January of 1946. After his discharge he worked for Canadian Pacific Railway as Section man. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Whitewood Branch #87 for 10 years. Harold passed away in 1998.
