TRUEMAN, Bert WWII Bert was born in Francis, SK. In 1934 his family moved to the Arborfield area. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on July 5, 1943 and served as an Aero Engine Mechanic in Canada and England until his discharge in July of 1945. He married and they raised a family of 3 children. He went to work in Regina for the Provincial Government. TURNER, Alfred Gordon WWII Alfred was born on June 29, 1918 in Chickney, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Egypt. Alfred was killed in action on November 2, 1942, when his plane was shot down about one hundred miles north of Tobruk, Libya. He received the following awards: 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, War Medal 1939-45, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. UNDERHILL, Alfred WWI & WWII Alfred was born on April 4, 1892 in Port Rowan, ON. He served with the Army overseas during World War One until his discharge in 1919. After his discharge he married and lived in Imperial. They came north and filed for a homestead in the Megan District and they raised 4 children. He was a member of the Megan Legion. He enlisted with the Army on February 5, 1943 and served with the Veteranʼs Guard in Canada until his discharge on September 5, 1945. They moved to Arborfield in 1948 and he joined the Legion there. Alfred passed away on January 9, 1986. VALOIS, Napoleon WWI Napoleon came with his parents and 5 siblings from Massachusetts in 1910 to the Arborfield area. He served with the Canadian Army during the First World War. He returned home after the war and married and moved to his homestead and raised a family of 8 children. Napoleon passed away on February 1, 1957. No Photo VAN KOUGHNETT, Robert WWII Robert was born in 1924. He enlisted with the Army on November 17, 1943 and served with the R.C.E. as a Fireman until his discharge on April 18, 1946. After the war he moved to Alberta and was married. Robert is deceased.
