BJORE, Benjamin WWII Benjamin served in Canada during the Second World War. He joined the Sheho Legion Branch on April 29, 1958 and served for twelve years. Benjamin passed away in 1970. No Photo BLACK, George WWII George was born in Foresterʼs Falls, Ontario. He enlisted with the Army R.C.A. in May of 1941 and served in Canada until his discharge in August of 1943. BLACK, James WWI James was born in 1873 in Foresterʼs Falls, ON. He came to Alberta in 1902. He enlisted with the 51st Battalion of the Canadian Army in 1915. He was transferred to the 1st Canadian Contingent and served overseas. He was wounded in France and spent 2 years in hospitals in England. He arrived home the day the Armistice was signed. He was a member of the British Empire Service League #203 in Arborfield. James passed away in 1958. No Photo BLACK, Wilfred WWII Wilfred was born on April 5, 1923 in Weldwood, Manitoba. He moved to Jordan River with his family in 1929. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on June 1, 1943. He served as a Tractor Operator until his discharge in 1946. He later was married and they farmed in the Jordan River area. Wilfred has been an Arborfield Legion member for 48 years. BLACKBURN, Andrew WWI Andrew was born in 1887 in Pilot Mound, Manitoba. He came to the Jordan River District in 1912 with his brother to file for homesteads. He enlisted with the Army in December of 1916 and served overseas until his discharge in 1919.
