STOLZ, Emil WWII Emil was born in 1919 in Mendham, SK. He enlisted with the Kingʼs Own Riflemen and served in Canada until his discharge. He married Erma in 1945 and they raised a family of 3 boys. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Tompkins Branch #140 for 23 years. Emil passed away in January of 1984. STONEHOCKER, John M. WWII John was born in 1914 in Lavoy, Alberta. He enlisted with the Air Force as an AC2 aircrew on December 11, 1942. He was selected and trained as a Navigator Bomb Aimer. He was commissioned on graduation and was posted overseas to the United Kingdom and placed on coastal command until his discharge in 1946.He received the Atlantic Star and achieved the rank of Flight Officer. He returned home to his wife Doreen and raised six children. John was a trusting man who served his country, his church and his family well. He passed away in 1997. STONEHOUSE, John WWII John was born on March 9, 1919. He moved with his parents to the Moosedale area in 1929. He enlisted with the Army on December 4, 1941. He served with the Canadian Scottish Regiment in Canada until his discharge on January 13, 1946. After the war he continued farming until 1976. He and his wife raised a family of 7 children. John retired to Carrot River, SK. STONEHOUSE, Milton WWII Milton was born on February 24, 1922 near Leacross, SK. He moved with his parents to the Moosedale area in 1939. He enlisted with the Army on February 3, 1943. He served with the Regina Rifles Regiment in Canada, England, Holland and Germany until his discharge on March 1, 1946. He married and raised a family of 4 children. Milton is a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Carrot River Branch. STOPERA, Stanley WWII Stanley was born in Tuffnell, SK. He began his teaching career in 1939 and taught at Rivington, Yemen, Pohorlowitz, Sheho and Foam Lake schools during his career. He enlisted with the Canadian Army on July 1, 1942 and served with the 56th Coast Battery. He served in Canada on Vancouver Island until his discharge on September 27, 1943 with the rank of Private. After his discharge he continued teaching until his retirement in 1972. He joined the Sheho Legion Branch in 1955 and later transferred to the Foam Lake Branch.
