STADNYK, Theodore M. “Ted” WWII Ted was born on August 16, 1907 in Sheho, SK. He enlisted with the Canadian Army Active on January 9, 1940. He served with the R.C.A.S.C. in Canada, England, Continental Europe, and the Central Mediterranean. He was awarded the following medals: 1939-45 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, Defense Medal 1939-45, CVSM and Clasp and VI D.G.BR: OMN REX ET INDIAE Imperial. Ted has been a Member of the Sheho Branch #356 of The Royal Canadian Legion for thirty-three years. STANGER, Gordon Thomas WWII Gordon was born on March 3, 1924 in Indian Head, SK. He joined the R.C.A.F. Flying Officer Squadron 424 in September of 1942 He trained as a navigator in Portage la Prairie and was sent over to England in 1944 serving at Wigtown, Ossington, Wombleton and Skipton-on-Swale. He also served in France, and Germany until his discharge. When the war ended Squadron 424 stayed in England, making several trips to Italy to bring soldiers back. Gordon passed away on September 12, 1984. STANLEY, Alfred WWII Alfred was born in Pendennis, MB. He moved to Saskatchewan in 1932 and married and had 2 children. He enlisted with the R.C.A. on July 21, 1941. He served in Canada and England until his discharge in 1946. He lived in Ontario for almost 35 years after the war. Alfred passed away in 1978. STARCHUK, John WWII John enlisted with the Canadian Army Active on February 5, 1942. He served with the Kingʼs Own Rifles in Canada until his discharge on July 7th, 1944 with the rank of Corporal. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on April 2, 1954 and served as aircraftsman electrical technician until his discharge in April of 1957. John is deceased. STEELE, George Wallace WWII George was born in 1906 in Whitewood, SK. He joined the Canadian Army Active in 1941 and served with the 44th Field Battery, 3rd Division, 13th Regiment in England and Holland.
