SCHOLS, Jack WWII Jack was born in 1919 in Backend, SK. He enlisted with the Army in May of 1942 and served in England and Europe. He served with the third Division, Light Blue Pats and took part in D-Day in 1944 where he was wounded and was discharged in May of 1945 with the rank of Gunner. He married Caroline and they raised a son, Larry. He became the P.F.R.A. pasture manager in 1963 of the Foam Lake Community Pasture. Jack currently resides in Foam Lake, SK. SCHWARTZ, Raymond Steve WWII Raymond was born on March 20, 1921 in Englefeld, SK. He served with the Regina Rifle Regiment in Belgium and Holland. He was wounded in Belgium and returned to the Front line again. He was seriously wounded in Holland and was sent back to England on convalesce. He was discharged in March of 1946 and he settled on Crown Land to farm. Raymond has been a member of Watson Branch #272 of The Royal Canadian Legion for thirty-three years. SCOTT, Charles Cecil WWII Charles was born on February 3, 1905 in Wellingore, England. He came with his family in 1909 to Lipton, SK. He married Sophie Shychoski on October 8th, 1930 and they made their home in Sheho. He volunteered for active service in September of 1940 and served with the R.C.E.M.E. in France, Belgium, and Holland until his discharge in 1945. He was the Charter President of the Sheho Legion Branch #356 and was awarded a Legion Certificate of Merit for 32 years of service. Charles passed away on September 23, 1982. SCOTT, Harvey WWI & WWII Harvey served with the Army during World War One. He came to the Prairies in 1920 to homestead in the Arborfield area. He enlisted with the Army on September 6, 1939 and served with the S.L.I. as a Machine Gunner in Canada and England until his discharge on June 27, 1944. After the war he returned to farming. He also helped other farmers at harvest time. He eventually went to live with his sister in the United States. SEABROOK, John WWII John was born in 1925 in Edmonton, Alberta. He came with his family in 1929 and lived north or Arborfield, they moved to Jordan River in 1935. He enlisted with the Army on June 27, 1944 and served with the Canadian Scottish Infantry in Canada until his discharge on May 1, 1946.
