RODGERS, Robert “Bob” WWII Bob was born in 1921 in Hamilton, Ontario. He enlisted with the Army on July 21, 1941. He served with the 8th Canadian R.E.C.C.E. Regiment, 2 I/C Assault Section. He served in Canada, England, France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. He was wounded in England and was discharged on October 1, 1945. He married and raised 3 children and adopted 2 children. ROMANOVICH, William WWI William was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada with some friends and settles in the Tuffnell area. He enlisted in the Army on April 5, 1916. He served with the 188th Battalion in England, Canada, and France until his discharge on January 10, 1919 with the rank of Sapper. He received the following medals: British Service Medal and the Victory Medal France. He married Mary and they raised a family of five sons and five daughters. William passed away on July 7, 1970. ROMANOVITCH, Stanley WWII Stanley was born in Sheho, SK. He enlisted with the Canadian Army in January of 1944 and served in Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany until his discharge in 1946 with the rank of Private. He was awarded the following medals: France and Germany Star and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. Stanley is married and they raised a family of five sons and they settled in Newmarket, ON. They are currently enjoying their retirement. ROMANOW, Joseph R. WWII & Peacetime Joseph was born in May of 1921 in Saskatoon, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on April 4, 1940 and was discharged in June of 1946 with the rank of Flight Lieutenant. He re-enlisted with the Canadian Armed Forces on September 26, 1949 and served until August of 1976 with the rank of Brig. General. He received the following decorations: CMM, CD, Burma Star, Defense Medal, CVSM with Clasp, 1939-45 Star and Long Service Medal with two Clasps. Joseph now resides in Ottawa, Ontario. ROSS, Albert James WWII Albert was born in 1885 in North Dakota. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army in 1939 and served in Nova Scotia and Alberta until 1945. Albert passed away in 1970.
