ROBERTSON, James John WWII James was born on October 18, 1916 in Whitewood, SK. He enlisted with the Army in 1940 and served with the Regina Rifles in Canada, Britain, and Northwest Europe until 1945. He was married in 1948 and they raised one daughter. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Whitewood Branch # 87 for 37 years. James passed away on February 25, 1984. ROBERTSON, Ray WWII Ray enlisted with the Army on July 26, 1941. He served with the 7th Regiment, 76th Battery as a Dispatch Rider in Canada, England, Ireland and France where he was wounded on August 27, 1944. He received his discharge on August 21, 1945. ROBIDOUX, Lawrence J. Korean War Lawrence was born in 1928 in Radville, SK. He enlisted with the U.S. Army on January 25, 1949. Lawrence was taken as a Prisoner of War on November 27th, 1950 near UNSUN and was killed on May 31, 1951. ROBINSON, George L. WWII George was born on March 27, 1913 in Maple Creek, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Engineers and served with the 23rd Field Company in England, France, Holland, and Belgium until his discharge in 1946. After the war he returned home and purchased land south of Carmichael. He taught 4-H for 25 years and was inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame in 1997. He was a Charter member of The Royal Canadian Legion #140 Tompkins Branch and was awarded with a Life Membership and served a total of 54 years. George passed away on October 16, 1999. ROBINSON, Stephen F. WWII Stephen was born in July of 1915 in Valor, SK. During World War Two, he served with the S.S.R. and the 46th Bridge Co. He served in England, Holland, Belgium, France, and Germany. He took a Driver Mechanics course and drove Jeeps, Trucks and Bren Gun Carriers. After the war he was a truck driver until retirement. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Assiniboia Branch #17 for 55 years. Stephen passed away in 2001. The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 287
