RIEDERER, Frederick WWII Frederick was born in 1923 in Lake Lenore, SK. He joined the Army in August of 1943 and served in England and Canada until his discharge in August of 1946.He married on August 6, 1952 and raised three children. He was a very loving husband and father and active in the community. Frederick passed away on May 2, 1984 from a massive heart attack at the age of 61. No Photo RIOU, Casmir WWI Casmir was born in 1896 in Brittany, France. He came with his parents in 1907 to St. Laurent, MB where they fished and worked until 1911 when they moved to Star City. In 1912 they moved to Tisdale where they settled on a farm. He enlisted with the Canadian Army when the war broke out and served overseas where he was wounded. He returned home to Tisdale in 1920 and married in 1923. They raised a family of 9 children. Casmir passed away on January 9, 1981. No Photo RIOU, John WWI John was born in 1895 in Brittany, France. He came with his parents in 1907 to St. Laurent, MB where they fished and worked until 1911 when they moved to Star City. In 1912 they moved to Tisdale where they settled on a farm. He served with the Canadian Army during WWI. He settled in Arborfield in 1922 and married in 1927. They raised a family of 11 children. They farmed until 1976 when they retired. John passed away in 1983. No Photo RIOU, Joseph WWII Joseph was born in 1925 in Arborfield, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force, General Duties on October 22, 1943 and served in Canada until his discharge on January 18, 1946. After the war he married and worked as a Jeweler in several places. He moved to Regina and was employed at Federated Pacific Electric for years. Joseph is currently retired. ROBERTSON, B. WWII B. Robertson enlisted with the R.C.N.V.R. on April 9, 1942. He served aboard H.M.C.S. Nanaimo until his discharge on October 23, 1945. The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 285
