REDFORD, Jack WWII Jack and his family came to Arborfield in 1937. He enlisted with the Army Signal Corps on February 1, 1941. He transferred to the Postal Corps and served as a Clerk in Canada until his discharge on February 20, 1946. The family moved to Kamloops, BC in 1952. Jack passed away on December 11, 1979. REED, David James Special Duty David was born on July 11, 1971 in Moose Jaw, SK. He started with the 2370th Royal Canadian Artillery Cadets in Regina. From 1988-1997, he served in Primary Reserves and served in Croatia and with the U.N. David applied for release of service in 1997 and is currently residing in Regina, SK. He has received the following decorations: Order of St. John, CPSM, and UNPROFOR. REICHEL, Ronald WWII Ronald was born in 1921. He enlisted with the R.C.A., Military Police and served in Maple Creek, Regina and Winnipeg until his discharge in 1943. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #230 in Ridgeway, ON for 34 years. Ronald passed away in 1987. REID, Allan Roy WWII Allan was born on January 31, 1921 in Swift Current, SK. He enlisted with the Army on January 4, 1943 and took his basic training at Camrose and Chilliwack, BC. He served with the R.C.E. in England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. When the war ended, being a journeyman plumber in Canada, he continued his trade in the army, setting up water points and laying temporary bridges with pontoons, etc for the troops coming in with tanks, armoured vehicles, etc. Allan passed away on March 29, 1997. REID, Russell “Bendy” WWII Bendy was born on March 31, 1913. He enlisted with the Army on May 10, 1943 and served with Motor Transport in Canada until his discharge on April 18, 1946.
