QUINNELL, Bernard WWII Bernardʼs parents homesteaded in the Jordan River area. He married in 1943 and enlisted with the South Saskatchewan Regiment on February 18, 1943. He transferred to the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps and served as a Transport Driver in Canada and England until his discharge on March 6, 1946. Bernard passed away in 1951. RACETTE, Norman C. WWII Norman was born in 1917 in Lebret, SK. He joined the Army in June of 1941 and served with the Royal Canadian Ordinance Corps in Canada. He spent his military life as an instructor in Barriefield, Ontario, first as a drill instructor and later as a topographic instructor. He did not spend any time overseas. He left the military in February 1946. Norman passed away in 1970. RAMBO, Floyd WWII Floydʼs parents homesteaded south of Zenon Park for a while. He enlisted with the Army on July 12, 1940. He served with the 16-22nd Saskatoon Horse Regiment, Canadian Armoured Corps in Canada, England, and Italy until his discharge in 1946. RAMBO, Laurence WWII Laurenceʼs parents homesteaded south of Zenon Park for a while. He enlisted with the Army on March 8, 1941. He served with the 13th Field Regiment in Canada, England, France, and Germany and until his discharge on September 24, 1945. He was also a Pacific Volunteer. RATHWELL, Lloyd William Thomas WWII Lloyd was born in 1920 in Nadeauville, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps and served in Canada and Holland. After the war he farmed in the Tompkins area for 40 years. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Tompkins Branch #140. Lloyd passed away in 2001.
