PRUDEN, James Joseph “Jim” WWII Jim was born in 1924 in Big River, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army and served with the Black Watch Regiment. Jim was killed in action in France on July 25, 1944 at the age of 20. He is buried at Breltervilla sur Laize Canadian War Cemetery in France. PRUDEN, Robert WWII Robert was born in 1911 in Marsland, SK. He enlisted with the Army and served with the 2nd Division, Infantry Rifles in Canada, Europe and Italy. He received the following Medals: 1939-45 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, Defense Medal, CVSM & Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45. Robert passed away in 1971. PRUDEN, Victor WWII Victor was born in 1920 in Big River, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army in Regina and served in Canada until his discharge. Victor passed away in 1949. PURDY, Harold WWII Harold was born in 1916 in Wishart, SK. He enlisted with the Army and served with the Regina Rifles in France, Holland, the United Kingdom, and Continental Europe. He received the following Medals: War Service Badge Class – G.S.C., 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defense Medal, CVSM & Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #212. Harold passed away in 1981. QUINN, George Dickson WWII George was born on March 12, 1906 in Kirkcaldy, Scotland. He immigrated to Canada in 1928 and worked in farms until he moved to the Stowlea District in 1934 to become a homesteader. He enlisted with the Artillery on August 12, 1943 and served in France, England, Belgium, Germany, and Holland until his discharge on March 8th, 1946. He received the following Medals: 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, George VI DG Medal, and the 1939-45 Voluntary Service Award. He was a member of The RCL Turtleford Branch #128 for 50 years.
