OSTAPOWICH, George E. WWII George enlisted with the Army on May 3, 1944. He served with the R.C.A. Service Corps in France, Germany, England, and Canada until his discharge on June 14, 1946. He received the Canadian Volunteer Medal and Clasp for his service. He married Effie and they had 1 son. After his discharge he worked on the C.P.R. dragline for 20 years and 4 years for the P.F.R.A. George currently resides in Saskatoon, SK. OSTAPOWICH, Stephen WWII Stephen was born on October 20, 1904 in Sheho, SK. He enlisted with the R.C.A. at the beginning of World War Two. He served in England and Continental Europe until his discharge. Following his discharge he was employed with the P.F.R.A. in Moose Jaw until his retirement in 1977. He was married to Gladys and they raised 2 daughters. Stephen passed away on October 4, 1994. No Photo OULETTE, Edouard WWII Edouard was born in 1908 in Adèle, Quebec. He moved to Zenon Park in 1938 and took up a homestead. He worked at the elevator and the sawmill and was married on June 16th, 1942. He enlisted with the R.C.E. on August 10, 1942. He served in Canada, England, Holland, Italy, and Germany until his discharge on November 15, 1945. He received VLA land and also worked as a painter and carpenter. He moved to various places in BC and finally settled in Prince George and retired in 1972. PAICE, Alfred J. WWI & WWII Alfred was born in 1884 in England. During World War One, he served with the 217th Battery C.E.F. He served in England, France, Germany, and Holland during World War Two. Alfred passed away in 1950. PALEY, Pauline WWII Pauline enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on May 3, 1942. She served in Canada until her discharge on October 22, 1945, with the rank of L.A.W. She married Walter Paley on November 17, 1945 and they raised a family of four children. They farmed on the family farm northeast of Tuffnell where they currently reside and are semi-retired.
