NESSET, Iver J. WWII Iver enlisted with the R.C.A. in 1941. He served with the ECEBAE-SPR in England, France, Italy, Holland, Belgium, and Germany until his discharge in 1945 with the rank of Private. After the war he went to work for the C.P.R. Iver passed away on April 6, 1994. NESSET, Melvin WWII Melvin enlisted with the Canadian Army in 1941. He took his basic training in Esquimalt, BC and was posted to the coastal defense area in Esquimalt, 33 L.A.A. Battery R.C.A. troop until 1943. He served in the R.C.E.M.E. 13th Infantry Brigade. He was discharged as a private and gunner in 1943. After his discharge he returned to Sheho and for a number of years he was employed by the C.P.R. and also farmed until he retired at the age of 65. Melvin passed away in 1982. NESSET, Robert Mervin WWII Robert volunteered for service with the Canadian Army in 1940. He served in active duty in 1941-42 as a rifleman R.C.E.M.E. and as a dispatch rider. He served with the Canadian Corps in England, France, Italy, Holland, Belgium, and Germany until his discharge in January of 1946 with the rank of private. After the war he returned to Sheho and then worked as a Police Guard at Guelph Reformatory in Ontario. Robert passed away in 1977. NESSMAN, Alfred WWII Alfred came to the Arborfield area in 1930 with his family. He enlisted with the R.C.A. on January 2, 1942. He served as a Gunner in Canada until his discharge on June 4, 1944. He married and moved to Duncan, BC. NEWELL, Dick WWI Dick was born in Bollinasloe County, Galway, Ireland. He came to Canada with his brothers and took up a homestead in the Jordan River area.
