MUNRO, Hector William WWII Hector was a Flying Officer Pilot serving with the R.A.F. Squadron 170. Hector was killed in a flying accident on a Mustang Aircraft just outside the village of Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire County, England on November 24, 1943. The cause was unknown. He is buried in the Brookwood Military Cemetery in Woking, Surrey, England. No Photo MURPHY, Lewis Joseph WWII Lewis was born in 1925 in Krydor, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Navy at the age of 18 and served aboard the Corvette Trentonian. He trained in Windsor and Halifax and was shipped out from Halifax in December of 1944. His ship was torpedoed and it sunk on February 22, 1945. He was shipped back to Canada on Survivorsʼ lease and was not recalled before the war ended. MURRELL, Ray WWII Ray was born on May 8, 1922 in Darmoody, SK. He enlisted with the Canadian Army Active on April 15, 1941. He served in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Continental Europe as a member of the Saskatchewan Horse 16/22 Regiment. That Regiment was disbanded and he was transferred to the Governor Generalʼs Foot Guards until his discharge as Corporal on December 15th, 1945. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, 1939-45 Star and the France and Germany Star. Ray passed away in 1994. MUSSELMAN, J. O. WWII J. O. enlisted with the Army on July 19, 1944. He served with the Regina Rifles in Canada and England until his discharge in May of 1946. MUSSELMAN, W. D. WWII W. D. enlisted with the Army in August of 1944.
