MILNE, Charles WWI Charles was born on January 15, 1890 in Aberdeen, Scotland. He enlisted with the 46th Battalion on April 7, 1915 in Regina. He served in England, France, and Belgium and received the Belgian Croix de Guerre Cross. Charles passed away on October 26, 1971 and is buried in Ceylon, Saskatchewan. No Photo MISOURI, John Clifford WWII John was born on April 26, 1916 in Totzke, SK. He enlisted with the 14th Canadian Hussars of the Armed Forces in Saskatoon in 1941.The Hussars and the 8th, C.D.N. Recce Regiment joined together and in 1944 John was sent to the war zone to the beaches of Calais, France. For his distinguished career and his many years with The Royal Canadian Legion as a member and president, he received a Certificate of Appreciation, past president bar, life membership, Poppy appreciation award, meritorious service award and was given a Normandy Medal. He served in England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. John passed away on May 14, 2001 at the age of 85 at Humboldt, Saskatchewan. MOAN, Francis Bernard WWII Francis was born in 1912 in Scotland. He joined the South Alberta Regiment in 1940 and served overseas. Francis was killed in action in Holland on October 25, 1944 on the back road (known as the dirt road) into Bergen Op. Zoom Holland when a bazooka shell penetrated the hull of his tank. He is buried in the Canadian Military Cemetery there with some 1300 other Canadians. His son, Richard Baker of South Surrey, BC, who never got to know his father, visited the monument to the Sar Regiment. No Photo MONSON, Magnus Nelson WWII Magnus was born near Riverhurst, Sask. on October 6, 1918. He joined the Army in 1939 with the Ordinance Corps in Regina and served in Canada, England, Sicily, Belgium, and Germany until his discharge. He stayed in Germany for 1 year repairing shoes and guarding German prisoners. While there he took up the trade of shoe making in German civilian school. Again he regrouped to the Regina Rifles and in 1946 returned to Canada. Magnus passed away on October 5, 1990. MOORE, Kenneth E. WWII & Korean War Kenneth was born on September 27, 1925 in Lloydminster, SK. He enlisted in December of 1951 with the Army and took his basic training in Wetaskiwin, Calgary. He was in Kingston, Ontario as a driving instructor and served with the P.P.C.L.I. overseas during WWII. He re-enlisted in the Army in 1950 and served with the R.C.M.E. during the Korean War. He returned from duty in 1955. Ken received medals of bravery and enlistment. His date of discharge was December 1954 at Calgary, Alberta.
