MARTMAN, Robert WWII Robert was born on May 14, 1885. He came with his family to the Arborfield area in 1939. He enlisted with the Army Veterans Guard on August 15, 1942 and served until his discharge on July 23, 1945. Robert passed away in 1961. MARTODAM, Clarence Arnold WWII Clarence was born on March 1, 1916 in Windthorst, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on April 7, 1942 as aircraftsman 2 in the transport division stationed in New Brunswick. While there six training planes went off course and crashed in Maine, USA, in the mountains. Clarence was one of the men that went to find the airmen. He served in Canada until his discharge on October 3, 1945. He was a Legion member for 60 years. Clarence passed away on April 10, 2005. McCREA, Edward WWII Edward enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps on March 12, 1942. He served as an Instructor in Canada until his discharge on February 19, 1943. McCREA, Maurice WWII Maurice was born on June 1, 1922 in St. Paul de Metis, AB. He moved with his parents to Zenon Park in 1934. He enlisted with the Army on June 12, 1942 and served with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry as a Machine Gunner in Canada, England, France Belgium, and Holland. He was wounded on D-Day in France and again on the border of Holland on February 24, 1945. Maurice passed away on February 25, 1945 and is buried at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery in Holland. McCREA, Raymond WWII Raymond was born on November 5, 1920 in Banff, Alberta. He moved with his family to Zenon Park in 1934. He enlisted with the R.C.N.V.R. on July 15, 1940. He served aboard HMCS Ontario, Wataskainwin, and Cheboque. After the war he continued to serve in the Navy, he married and moved to Edmonton, AB.
