MAAS, John Andrew WWII John was born in Sheho, SK. He enlisted in the Canadian Army Active in 1942. He served in Canada, Europe, Holland, and Belgium. He was wounded in Bergonopzoon, Holland and was discharged on medical grounds in 1945 as Private. He was married and they had two daughters and a son. He worked as security for a while and was a volunteer at a Veteranʼs Clinic. John passed away on December 22, 1991. MAAS (nee WILSON) Judy Josephine WWII Judy was born in Sheho, SK. She joined the C.W.A.C. in February of 1943. She served in Ottawa, Occupational in Appledoorn, Holland, BAD Zwichenhein, Germany. She was discharged in June of 1946 with the rank of Corporal. She married Jim and they have two children. After her discharge she moved to Vancouver and worked as a stenographer for 7 years. In 1967 they moved to Kelowna and they love it there. MAAS, Louis Franciscus WWII Louis was born in Sheho, SK. He joined the Canadian Army in 1944. He served in Suffield, Alta. Experimental Station until his discharge in 1945 as Private. For a brief time he farmed in Sheho, he then moved to Saskatoon and worked for the city. He married Rebecca and they had four children. Louis passed away in May of 1990. MacDONALD, Norman WWII Norman was born in 1920 in Moose Jaw, SK. He enlisted with the Army, 2nd Canadian Signal Corps on February 1, 1942. He served in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany until his discharge on January 11, 1946. He received the following medals: Stars of France and Germany, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, King George, and the “Thank You Canada” Dutch Medal. After the war he married and farmed in the Moosedale area. Norman passed away on February 9, 1987. MacDONALD, Redge WWII Redge enlisted with the Army on June 18, 1940. He served with the Regina Rifles in Canada, England, Sicily, Italy and France. He was seriously wounded and received his discharge in November of 1944.
