LLOYD, David “Dave” WWI Dave was born in 1897 in Northbrook, ON. He came with his father to the Arborfield area in 1909 to file for a homestead. He enlisted with Armed Forces during WWI and served until the end of the war. Dave passed away on September 20, 1991. No Photo LLOYD, Fred WWII Fred was born on January 26, 1924 in Tisdale, SK. He came with his parents in 1927 to “Old Arborfield.” He enlisted with the R.C.N.V.R. on June 12, 1942 and served aboard the HMCS Columbia and Huron until his discharge on October 4, 1945. After the war he married, raised 4 boys and farmed in the Huntdale area. He later worked for the Department of Highways and retired in Carrot River. Fred passed away on August 31, 2007. LLOYD, Gerald WWII Gerald was born in 1924 in Tisdale, SK. He came with his parents in 1926 to the Megan area to homestead. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in July of 1943. He served as a Carpenter in Canada until his discharge in 1946. He was married and the family later moved to Kelowna, BC. LOGAN, Ian Peacetime Ian was born on July 15, 1939 in Foam Lake, SK. He lived on a farm north of Sheho and eventually his family moved to Sheho and he attended Sheho School. He completed High school at the Foam Lake Composite High School in 1958. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force / C.A.F. on February 12, 1959 and remained with the R.C.A.F. for thirty years and seven months. He served in Canada until his discharge on July 15, 1989 with the rank of M.CPL. Ian works at various jobs part time and enjoys touring and seeing the country. LOKEN, Frank Lyle WWII Frank was born on March 5, 1919 in Outlook, SK. He enlisted in the Army at Regina in April of 1942 where he took his basic training. He was sent to Whitehorse, Yukon for the winter of 1942-43. In 1943, he was transferred to the Sarcee Camp at Calgary for radio training. He served with the 13th Field Artillery, 22nd Battery in England, France, Holland, and Germany After six months in Germany with the occupation forces, Frank returned home in June 1946 and discharged in Regina in the fall of that year.
