LESTER, Loren WWII Loren came with his family in 1923 to the Megan District, they left for a while and they came to Arborfield in 1930. He enlisted with the Army on February 18, 1944. He served with the Canadian Scottish Infantry as a Sniper in Canada, England, France, Belgium, and Holland until his discharge on July 13, 1945. Loren is deceased and his family lives in Saskatoon. LEVINE, George WWII George enlisted with the Army on May 12, 1941. He served as an Air Gunner in Canada, England, France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany until his discharge in March of 1946. LILLEJORD, Melvin Olaf WWII Melvin was born in 1919 in Pangman. He enlisted with the Winnipeg Light Infantry and served with the South Saskatchewan Regiment during WWII. He served in England, Holland, and Germany. His rank was Corporal. Melvin passed away in 1996. LILLY, Lester “Buster” WWII Buster was born in 1921 in Kansas, U.S.A. He came with his family to the Connell Creek area in 1925 and helped his father homestead. He enlisted with the Canadian Army on March 19, 1942 and served in Canada until his discharge on December 15, 1943. Buster passed away in 1966. LIMLAW, Patrick “Paddy” WWI Paddy was born on August 21, 1894 in Esmond, Ontario. He was from a large Irish family of 12 children. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces during WWI. After the war he worked as a fireman for the railroad. He came to Lac Vert in 1926 and in 1932 he came to the Carrot River area. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Cumberland House #316.
