LEMIRE, Aime WWII Aime was born in 1917 in Willowbunch, SK. He came with his family in 1930 to Arborfield. He enlisted with the Army on July 2, 1944 and served in Canada until his discharge on March 24, 1946. Aime passed away in 1960 and is buried at the Uxbridge Cemetery in Uxbridge, ON. LEMIRE, Dorise “Daniel” WWII Daniel was born in 1919 in Willowbunch, SK. He came with his family in 1930 to Arborfield. He enlisted with the R.C.N.V.R. on April 15, 1941 and served aboard Brandon Corvette as a Chief Cook until his discharge on November 20, 1945. After the war he married and moved to Smithers, BC. Daniel passed away in 1984. LEMIRE, George WWII George was born in 1924 in Willowbunch, SK. He came with his family in 1930 to Arborfield. He enlisted with the R.C.N.V.R. on April 15, 1942 and served aboard HMCS Nabob. He survived the Nabob when it was torpedoed off the northern tip of Norway on August 21, 1944. He received his discharge on December 24, 1944. After the war he married and moved to Victoria to run an electric shop. He was a member of the Arborfield Legion and transferred to the Victoria Branch in 1958. George passed away in 1971. LEMIRE, Henry WWII Henry was born in 1921 in Willowbunch, SK. He came with his family in 1930 to Arborfield. He enlisted with the Army on October 15, 1943 and served in Canada until his discharge on September 15, 1944. After the war he was married and they moved to Kelowna, BC. Henry passed away in 1969. LESTER, Leonard “Len” WWII Len came with his parents to the Megan area in 1923, he left for a time and came back in 1930. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on October 25, 1942.
