LARMAND, Leo WWII Leo was born on October 21, 1922 in Zenon Park, SK. He enlisted with the Army in April of 1944. He served as a Driver in Canada until his discharge on March 31, 1946. LAST, Cyril Kenneth WWII Cyril was born in 1915 in Zelma, SK. He enlisted with the South Saskatchewan Regiment on July 6, 1940. He served in the United Kingdom, Northern Europe and Holland, until he was badly wounded and sent back to Canada. He returned to civilian life in 1946. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #87 for 36 years. Cyril passed away in August of 1984. LEACH, Ralph Douglas WWII Ralph was born on January 23, 1915 in Davidson, SK. He enlisted with the Army and served with the Canadian Scottish Regiment in Canada, England, and Europe. His sister-in-law believes Ralph was a runner carrying messages. Ralph was shot in Nijmegen and passed away in the hospital on December 20, 1945. LEARMONTH, John Heddle WWII John was born in 1922 in Rowletta, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served in Canada. John passed away in 2000. LEBRAS, Joe WWII Joe was born in 1913 in St. Leon, MB. He came to Arborfield with his parents and helped his father homestead and then bought his own land. He enlisted with the R.C.N.V.R. on June 15, 1944. He served aboard HMCS Chimon until his discharge on November 27, 1945. After the war he returned to farm and married and raised a family. Joe passed away in May of 1964.
