KUCHERAN, William WWII William was born in Sheho, SK. He joined the Canadian Army on October 2, 1944 in Regina. He took his basic training in Chiliwack, BC and was posted to the Royal Canadian Engineers. He served in England and Canada until his discharge. He married Victoria Paley and they have three children. William is a member of the Sheho Legion Branch. He is still farming on his fatherʼs farm and enjoys visits from friends, relatives and especially his grandchildren. KULLBERG, John S. WWII John enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on July 22, 1942. He was trained in Canada as Aero Engine Mechanic but was transferred to 2nd Technical Air Force when he arrived overseas. He served in England, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, and Canada until his discharge on February 9, 1946. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion and served at several branches in Saskatchewan. John passed away on April 3, 1995. KULYK, George WWII George was born on March 5, 1917 in Wadena, SK. He enlisted in the Army on August 31, 1940. He served with the 1st Special Service Force in Canada, the North Atlantic, the North Pacific, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom until his discharge on March 6th, 1946 with the rank of Sergeant. He married Elizabeth Koculym in August of 1948 and they raised 2 daughters and 1 son. George is currently retired in Vernon, BC. KULYK, Nick WWII Nick was born in 1921 in Wadena, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and served in Canada and the United Kingdom. Nick was killed on March 10, 1943, while in the #23 Operational Training Unit. The crew of Wellington Aircraft #X3349 were engaged in a night training exercise when they crashed at Keyham, Leichestershire, England, cause unknown. Sergeant Bomb Aimer Kulyk is buried in the Brookwood Military Cemetery, Working, Surrey, England. KUYEK, John WWII John was born on May 31, 1919 in Edmore, SK. He enlisted with the R.C.A. in January of 1941. He served with the 31st L.A.A., 28th Regiment until his discharge on November 8, 1945 with the rank of Gunner. After the war he started farming along with garage and brush cutting business. He married Doreen Kostiuk on June 11, 1949 and they raised 2 boys and 2 girls.
