KNIGHT, William James WWII William was born in Roche Pierce and enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army during the Second World War. He served with the South Saskatchewan Regiment in Canada, England, Dieppe and France. He received the 1939-45 Star, the Battle of Britain, the Canadian Medal with bar and leaf and the Service Medal. He was mentioned in dispatch by King George VI of England for his distinguish service in the Dieppe Raid. Mr. Knight died there in August 1942. He later had a lake named after him, the Knight Lake. KNIGHT, William Lawson WWI & WWII William was born on December 16, 1897 in Ilkeston, England. He joined the Fort Gary Horse in WWI and he enlisted with the R.C.A.S.C. in WWII. He was wounded in France. William passed away on September 14, 1951 and is buried in the Soldiers Plot in Regina, Sask. KNUFF, Arnold WWII Arnold was born on June 5, 1924 in Sylvania, SK. He enlisted with the 2nd Field Regiment, 1st Canadian Division on April 19, 1942 and served in Canada, England, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, and Holland until his discharge on December 1st, 1945. He received the following medals: Stars of Italy, France, and Germany, King George, and the “Thank You Canada” Dutch Medal. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Sylvania Branch and then transferred to the Arborfield Legion. Arnold passed away on July 22, 2004. KODMAN, Lucas WWII Lucas was born in 1908 in Whitewood, SK. He joined the Prince Albert Artillery and served in Canada until his discharge. He was a member of the Whitewood Branch #87 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 15 years. Lucas passed away in 1984. KOHUCH, John Korean War John was born on June 30, 1931 in Wynyard, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army during the Korean War. He served with the P.P.C.L.I., Ordinance in Korea. He received the Volunteer Medal, Korean Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the Oak Leaf Medal, the UN and Queens Medals. John has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for eleven years.
