KLINCK, Harold WWII Harold enlisted with the Army on May 19, 1942. He served with the P. A. Volunteers in Canada until his discharge on August 19, 1944. KLINCK, Joseph WWII Joseph was born in 1921 in Leacross, SK. He came with his family to the Moosedale area where the children went to school. He enlisted with the Army on July 1, 1940. He served with the Regina Rifles – Police in Canada and England until his discharge in July of 1945. KNAFELC, Stanley “Stan” WWII Stan was born in 1921 in Humboldt, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and after training as an aero-engine mechanic in Saskatoon, Toronto and St. Thomas , Ontario, he was stationed at Dafoe Bombing and Gunnery School, near Watson There he worked in aircraft maintenance until 1945 when he was discharged on compassionate grounds, being needed on the farm due to his brotherʼs illness. Stan passed away on October 30, 2005. KNIGHT, Donald Matthew WWII Donald was born in 1922 in Estevan, SK. He served with the South Saskatchewan Regiment in Canada, England, and Europe until his discharge on November 13, 1945. He received the 1939-45 Star, the France-Germany Star, the Battle of Britain, the Canadian Service Medal VSP, I week Service Medal for serving in army George VI, the Normandy Medal and Holland Medal. He served overseas for 4 years and was wounded in Normany at Veries Ridge in July. He took all his Dieppe training on the Isle of White for the Dieppe raid. Donald has been a member of the Estevan Branch of The Royal Canadian Legion for 64 years. KNIGHT, James Tervelamy WWII James was born in 1923 in Macoun, SK. He served with the R.C.A.F. in the Far East as a Gunner on bombing missions. He served in North India and Bermuda. He later became a gunnery instructor for the British. James passed away in 1984.
