JORDAN, Robert T. WWII Robert was born on May 17, 1923 in Whitehead, Manitoba. He joined the 4th Division Artillery in the spring of 1940. He served in Canada, England, Italy, Holland and Germany. While he was in England he was sent to signal school and he was sent to the 5th Division Artillery. He was discharged in the summer of 1945. Robert was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #137 for 25 years. JORDAN, Thomas Lawrence WWII Thomas was born on March 27, 1922 in Ernfold, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941.He trained for a period of time in Mossbank and Regina, Sask., Winnipeg, Manitoba and Sidney, BC going overseas in May of 1943. He served in Canada, England and the North Sea. Thomas was killed in action on February 6, 1944, while flying over the North Sea. JORDENS, Arthur WWI Arthur was born on May 28, 1892 in Fort Pelley, N.W.T. After his schooling he farmed west of Whitewood, SK with his younger brother. He joined the 28th Battalion in 1915, and served in England and France and was severely wounded on December 24, 1916 at the battle of Lens. He received his discharge on December 8, 1918 and returned to Canada. He purchased land southwest of Whitewood from the V.L.A. He married his wife Jessie on July 21, 1920 and they raised 3 children. Arthur passed away on January 16, 1962. JORDENS, Wilfred WWI Wilfred was born on January 16, 1896 in Fort Pelley, N.W.T. After his schooling he worked on his dadʼs rented farm west of Whitewood, SK. He joined the 28th Battalion and was posted overseas to England and went into active duty serving in France. He was reported missing in action at Vimy on August 21, 1917. Wilfred is remembered with honour at Vimy Memorial in France. KAKISH, John WWII & Korean War John was born in 1926 in Brandon, Manitoba. He enlisted with the P.P.C.L.I. during WWII, and served with the R.C.E.M.E. during the Korean War .He was issued the War Service Badge “Service Class,” also the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal for Korea.
