JONES, Charlie WWII Charlie was born in 1918 in Willmar, SK. He came with his father in 1925 to the Arborfield area. He enlisted with the Army on April 9, 1942. He served with the R.C.E.M.E. in Canada, England, North Africa, Italy, France, Belgium, and Holland until his discharge in August of 1945. He was also a Pacific Volunteer. He was married in 1954 in Manitoba. JONES, Lloyd R. WWII Lloyd was born in 1923 in Quill Lake, SK. He joined the Army in November of 1942. Lloyd served with the Perth Regiment of Canada, 5th Division in Canada, Italy, Europe, and England. Lloyd has been a member of the Nutana Branch #362 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 40 years. JONES, Raymond E. WWII Raymond was born in 1920 in Quill Lake, SK. He joined the Army in April of 1940 and served with the South Saskatchewan Regiment in Canada and England. Raymond passed away in July of 1941 while on leave in England. JORDAN, Fern WWII Fern was born in 1920 in Tisdale, SK. She came with her parents in the fall of 1920 to homestead in the Arborfield area. She enlisted with the Canadian Women Army Corps on June 11, 1943. She served as a Hairdresser in Canada until her discharge on June 13, 1944. Fern passed away in 1959. JORDAN, Frederick John WWII Frederick was born on July 14, 1916 in Griswold, Manitoba. He enlisted with the Army on January 2, 1941, and went into active service in June of 1941. He served in Italy, Sicily, Holland, Belgium, France, and Great Britain until his discharge. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the Defense Medal, the Voluntary Service Medal, and the War Medal. After the war he came home and bought his wifeʼs parentsʼ farm and he farmed there until 1966.
