HOWE, Charlie WWII Charlie enlisted with the Canadian Army Active in 1940 in Dundurn, SK. He served in Canada for just a short time and was discharged for medical reasons. After the war he, his wife and 3 children made their home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He worked as an orderly in Deer Lodge Hospital for a short time and then was hired full time with the Veterans Medical Center as Medical Orderly in Headingly Jail Hospital. Charlie passed away in September of 1972. HOWE, Everett WWI Everett was born on December 13, 1889 in Belleville, Ontario. He enlisted with the Canadian Engineers on June 13, 1918. He served in England and Canada until his discharge on June 24, 1919 with the rank of Sapper. He was awarded the Service Medal and the British War Medal. He was married to Helen and they had 6 sons and 1 daughter. They moved to a farm north of Sheho in 1921. He joined the Sheho Legion Branch in 1950 and was an active member for 18 years. Everett passed away in 1968. HOWE, George T. WWII George enlisted with the Canadian Army Active on May 20, 1941. He served with the 3rd Division R.C.A.S.C. in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, France and Holland until his discharge on October 17, 1945. He married Georgina and they have 6 children. After his discharge he farmed for a while and then worked for the C.N.R. for 25 years. After working with the C.N.R. he drove a school bus for 6 years. George is currently enjoying his retirement. No Photo HOWE, Gerald Arthur WWII Gerald enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on February 26, 1943 as an Air Craft Mechanic. He served in Canada until his discharge on February 14, 1946 as Honourable Leading Air Craftsman. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal 1939-45. He married Leonore and they have 3 sons. After his discharge he moved north of Sheho and farmed. Gerald passed away on February 19, 1986. HOWE, Walter WWII Walter was born in Clavet, SK. He enlisted with the R.C.A.S.C. 3rd Division on May 18, 1942. He served in England, France, Belgium, and Holland until his discharge on March 19, 1946 as Private. He married Saltje Hendriks in Holland in 1945 and they have 5 children. He did draying in Oulook and then went onto farming from 1953 until 1980 in Gledhow.
