HANSEN, Otto Louis WWII Otto was born in 1919 in Denmark. He joined the 15th Canadian F. D. Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, 4th Division. He served in England, France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. He was married to Jean Shaw in 1950 and they had 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls. He had 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was a farmer all his life and spent the last few years farming with his 2 sons. Otto passed away in 2003. HARDIE, Charles WWII Charles was born in 1920 in Jordan River, SK. He enlisted with the Army Ordinance Corps on March 1, 1942 and served in Canada and suffered from a knee injury. He received his discharge on September 12, 1942. After the war he married and farmed and eventually moved to BC. Charles passed away in March of 1998. HARRIS, Milo WWII Milo was born in Sheho, SK and attended school there. He joined the Canadian Army Active in Regina and took his basic training in Regina and Orillia, ON. Due to medical reasons he was not sent overseas but was returned to Regina for discharge on Medical Grounds. He worked at different jobs after the war until 1975. Milo passed away on October 27, 1975. HARRIS, Thomas Leonard WWII Thomas was born on October 16, 1911 in Maryfield, SK. He enlisted in the Army on November 28, 1939. He served with the 8th Army Regiment in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Mediterranean. On May 4th, 1944 he was injured in Italy and was sent to England for treatment and received his discharge on December 16th, 1944 suffering from post diptherial neuritia. He was awarded the following medals: 1939-45 Star, the Itly Star, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal 1939-45. Thomas passed away on March 21, 1974. HART, Manfred L. “Fred” WWI Fred was born in 1899. He enlisted with the British Army in 1917 and served in the Kingʼs Royal Rifles Regiment. Having fought in the trenches of France until 1918, he contracted trench fever and was sent to the Army Hospital. He was scheduled to go back to France but the war ended before he was sent. He came to Canada in 1921 and from the winter of 1923 he remained in the Sheho, SK area. Fred passed away on May 20, 1993. The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 127
