GRUMETZA, Edward WWII Edward was born in Sheho, SK and attended the Sheho School. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army in November of 1943 and served at the Troop Training Wing in Esquimalt, BC for 3 years until his discharge as Private in 1946. He married Ethel Didluck and they had 1 daughter. Edward passed away in November of 1970. GRUMETZA, Metro WWI Metro was born in Sheho, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army in Regina and received his basic training at Camp Hughes. He served in Canada until his discharge as Private. He married Lena Oshenak and they had 2 sons and 1 daughter. In his early life he worked for the C.P.R. and then started a barbershop and poolroom, managed a store and was a telephone operator. He was a member of the Sheho Legion Branch #356 for 8 years. Metro passed away in 1958. GRUMETZA, Ross WWII Ross was born in Sheho, SK and attended school there. He enlisted with the R.C.A.S.C. in 1940. He served for five years in Canada, England, France, Belgium and Holland. He married Renda Neville in England and they have 6 children. In the spring of 1960, Comrade Ross Grumetza was hired to erect a Cross at the Cenotaph. He designed the base, cemented it, and then the Cross was erected. Ross passed away in 1984. GUENETTE, Lloyd WWII Lloyd enlisted with the Army on October 9, 1939. He served with the S.L.I. as a Dispatch Rider in Canada, England, Africa, Sicily, and Italy. He was a Prisoner of War for 5 days. He received his discharge on July 4, 1945. GUNN, Myron “Mydie” WWI Myron was born on August 29, 1897 in Coboconk, Ontario. He enlisted with the Army in Huntsville, Ontario on August 2, 1915. He was stationed at Galt, Ontario and Camp Borden under Col. D.M. Grant in the Canadian Army service Corp. He was in the 122nd, Battalion C.E.F. Myron came out west in 1928 and married Mabel Williams in 1930. They had 4 children: Lloyd, Audrey, Marion and Don. He served in England and France until his discharge on March 22, 1919.
