GOODFELLOW, Earl WWI Earl was born in 1898 in Wooler, Ontario. He came with his parents in 1907 to Ridgedale, SK. He enlisted with the Army when the war broke out and served overseas. He was wounded twice and had to have his leg amputated 6 inches below the knee. HE returned home in 1915 and he married Ethel McColl in 1920. They moved to the Megan District to homestead and raised 3 children. Earl passed away in 1951. GORNIAK, Peter WWII Peter was born on May 26, 1920 in Candice, SK. He was called to the Army on January 8, 1942. He served with the Regina Rifles in England, Canada, and Continental Europe. He was stationed in Canada for 3 and a half years, and, in May of 1945 he went overseas where he served from May to December. He was discharged from the service on February 4th, 1946. He passed away on May 26th., 2005. GOULD, Percy WWII Percy was born on February 24, 1908 in Whitney, Ontario. He joined the 16/22 Saskatchewan Horse Regiment in August of 1940. He served in Canada until his discharge in September of 1945. He received a Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He was an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion until his death in 1966. Percy passed away in 1966. GOULD, William Roland WWI & WWII William was born in 1898 in Walkertown, Ontario. William enlisted with the Army during WWI and served with the Fort Garry Horse Regiment in Canada and Russia. In WW1. He went to the east of Russia. He had his WW11 basic training in Trenton, Ontario, and served at Yarmouth, NS, Yorkton, Sask, Patricia Bay, BC, Sea Island, BC and Saskatoon, SK. He re-enlisted with the R.C.A.F. in 1941 with the rank of Pilot Officer and was discharged with the rank of Flying Officer. William passed away in 1966. GOVENLOCK, Charlie WWII Charlie was born on March 29, 1917 in Berton, MB. He came to Jordan River in 1938. He enlisted with the Army Pack Troop on November 21, 1942. He served in Canada until his discharge on February 12, 1946. He was married and currently lives in Arborfield. He worked as maintenance man at the hospital until he retired.
