AGNEW, Arthur J. WWII Arthur was born on April 17, 1916 in Shellbrook, SK. He enlisted with the Army in December of 1942. He served with the R.C.E.M.E. 2nd, Cdn Armʼd Bridge Workshop in Canada, England and Europe. After the war he served with the 4th, Cdn Armʼd Div. R.C.M.E. H.Q. with the Canadian Army of Occupation. Arthur passed away in 1991. AGNEW, Frederick Clayton WWII Frederick was born on March 29, 1924 in Shellbrook, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. He served in Canada, England and Europe until his discharge in 1946. Following the war, he served with the Canadian Army of Occupation. Frederick is a Life Member of the Shellbrook Branch of The Royal Canadian Legion. He has held various offices and was presented his Life Membership in 2002, and was awarded the Queens Jubilee Medal in the same year. AKISTER, George Wilbert WWI George was born in Veralum Township, Ontario in 1888. He served in the Royal Canadian Army in France. George was killed in action in Somme, France in 1916. ALLAN, Alexander WWII Alexander was born in 1914 in Unity, SK. He joined the Army in September of 1945. He went to England with the first contingent and served with Saskatoon Light Infantry in England, Sicily, and Italy before he was wounded at Ortona and sent home just before the war ended. Alexander passed away in 1989. ALLEN, Cecil WWII Cecil enlisted with the Army on October 10, 1939. He served with the Saskatoon Light Infantry in Canada, England, Italy, and the Central Mediterranean until his discharge on April 18, 1946.
