89 www.rnca.ca Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Association The Detective Sergeant Thomas Fraize Scholarship is awarded by the RNCA to dependants of RNCA members, past or present, who are graduating from Grade 12 and will be attending post-secondary school. Lindsey Feltham and Nathan Rogers are the recipients of the 2017 scholarships. Detective Sgt. Thomas Fraize Scholarship Lindsey Feltham graduated from Mount Pearl Senior High in June 2017. She was involved in many school activities including varsity volleyball and softball while also volunteering with the school soup kitchen. She was a member of the Mount Pearl Show Choir where she performed in various countries including Japan, France, Ireland, Sweden, Russia and the USA. Lindsey is currently studying Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland with hopes of being accepted to the School of Pharmacy. Nathan Rogers graduated from Mount Pearl Senior High with honors in June 2017. He is currently attending Memorial University of Newfoundland studying Engineering One with his career choice being Electrical and Computer Engineering. Nathan is a formal Air Cadet member with 510 Lions Squadron in St. John’s. He is currently enrolled in Taekwondo and is in the final stage of obtaining his black belt. He currently holds a red belt/black stripe. Nathan also enjoys reading and gaming in his spare time. Congratulations to Lindsey and Nathan! Photos by Cst. RNCA President, Sergeant Michael Summers presented RNCVA President, Sergeant Robert Escott (Ret’d) with a framed image.
