Over the decades, their work has helped solve cases, recover stolen property, and most importantly, keep our communities safer. This year marks their 26th Annual Awareness Guide campaign, which focuses on unsolved crimes and the continued importance of public participation in crime prevention. By shining a spotlight on cases that remain open, Crime Stoppers reminds us that even the smallest piece of information can be the key to closure for victims and families, and to holding offenders accountable. Crime prevention is not the responsibility of police alone—it is a shared commitment. PEI Crime Stoppers provides the tools, resources, and trust needed for citizens to come forward without fear of retaliation. Their efforts have proven that when community members work hand in hand with law enforcement, positive change follows. As we celebrate this milestone year, let us thank the dedicated volunteers, board members, and supporters who keep Crime Stoppers thriving. And let us also remember: if you know something, say something—your information could make all the difference. Anonymous tips can be submitted at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at peicrimestoppers.com. Together, we can make PEI a safer place for everyone. Sincerely, Jennifer McCarron Interim Chief Charlottetown Police Services. Summerside Police Services are extremely pleased to contribute to the 2025 edition of the PEI Crime Stoppers Annual Awareness Guide, this year focussing on the issue of sexual consent. Crime Stoppers continues to play an integral role in keeping Prince Edward Islanders safe through their anonymous tipster program and also via educational initiatives such as the annual awareness guide. We are proud to continue our partnership with this great organization. The issue of sexual consent has made national news recently in relation to a number of high-profile incidents that have occurred across Canada, making the topic of this year's guide very timely. The serious and life-changing impacts of sexual offences on victims is clearly evidenced by the brave survivors who have chosen to tell their stories publicly, either through the court process or otherwise. Education is one step toward lowering the number of incidents of sexual offences and shining a spotlight on the issue of sexual consent is an important part of that process. In closing, the members and staff of Summerside Police Services would like to congratulate PEI Crime Stoppers on publishing their 25th annual awareness guide and we look forward to continuing to work together for the safety of all islanders.
