Bloyce Thompson, Deputy Premier and Minister of Justice & Public Safety Annual Awareness Guide – Sexual Consent Each year PEI Crime Stoppers selects a topic related to the safety of our Island community to profile within our annual awareness guide. This is a primary annual fundraising project of PEI Crime Stoppers in conjunction with Fenety Marketing Services (Atl.) Ltd. The guide is not intended as a comprehensive resource, but rather to assist with discussion points and additional research on the topic. For the 2025 guide, the board of directors has chosen to profile the timely and important topic of Sexual Consent. It is necessary that we all work together as a community through various education initiatives to ensure that consent is clearly communicated, understood and respected by those involved. Parents are encouraged to have discussions with their children on the topic of sexual consent at whatever age they deem to be appropriate and all those engaging in sexual activity should be very aware of their respective rights and obligations as they relate to sexual consent.
