The anti-bullying Campaign continues to be a great success, the Coordinator and Board members work diligently to ensure the program runs effectively and has a positive impact on Island Schools. Over the years PEI Conservation Officers and the Crime Stoppers Program have developed a successful partnership and continue to work together to help keep Islanders safe and protect the Island’s natural resources. We are dedicated to continuing to grow this partnership in the years to come. Sincerely, Erin Perry We are particularly proud of the fact that since our inception in 1989 PEI Crime Stoppers has helped our law enforcement partners solve 1,324 criminal cases and assisted in the recovery/seizure of property and drugs valued at $3,254,817 in our province. This shows that by the collaborative effort of the community, law enforcement and the media we are making a difference. EXECUTIVE President - Mark Pharand Vice President - Allison J. Lynn Murray, QC Key & Murray Law There are several key agencies and partners, who engage tirelessly every day, working in public safety and crime prevention across Prince Edward Island. PEI Crime Stoppers is one of those important players providing a direct line for the public to engage police in helping to solve crime. As Commanding Officer of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) of Prince Edward Island, I know I speak for our entire team in expressing our gratitude for the chance to be a part of this year’s Annual Awareness guide. The collaboration with PEI Crime Stoppers allows the RCMP on PEI to reach more people, gather valuable information, and make positive contributions to policing operations. When Islanders and visitors to PEI report suspicious activity, we can better serve and protect our communities. Sometimes, people are unsure whether they should report information. Often, small details can make a big difference to further an investigation preventing a crime from taking place, or helping solve one that has occurred. Using PEI Crime Stoppers, a person can remain anonymous when providing information to 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by visiting the PEI Crime Stoppers website. PEI Crime Stoppers is backed by a solid teamworking hard behind the scenes. From the operations staff to community volunteers who organize public education campaigns, fundraising initiatives and many outreach events, we recognize your important work and welcome the chance to work with you each and every day. As a partner with other policing agencies across the Island, we are proud to play our role with PEI Crime Stoppers protecting the safety of the communities we serve.
