www.peicrimestoppers.com 7 Crime really does affect us all and PEI Crime Stoppers is a program that empowers regular people to fight back against crime. Anyone can submit an anonymous tip by using our tips line, website or mobile app. We don't need your name - just your information. We don't ask for names or numbers and guarantee it is 100% anonymous. Crime Stoppers operates in over 20 countries worldwide and since the very first program started in 1976, we have become the number one community based crime solving organization in the world. Our local Crime Stoppers program has been stopping, solving and preventing crime in Prince Edward Island since 1989. In addition to actual crimes solved, our tips provide law enforcement with valuable intelligence on criminal activities that allow policing agencies to target serious and organized crime groups conducting illegal activities. Crime Stoppers is made up of three partners: the community, law enforcement and the media. We owe our success to all three. First the community; those who provide tips, financial support and of course our volunteer Board of Directors. These folks are the backbone of our operation, helping with projects, attending events, working on special events and providing person power or expertise. We would not exist without them. Our policing partners who diligently investigate the information we provide and solve the crimes and our Media partners who make the public aware of the crimes. Having said that, I would like to congratulate and thank our tipsters, volunteers and partners who have, over the past years, given of their time and talents to make PEI Crime Stoppers what it is today. I would encourage you to visit our website: www.peicrimestoppers.com to gain additional insight into our organization. We live in a wonderful province and enjoy, for the most part, a very safe place to live, learn and do business. Working together we can ensure it stays that way. Together we are making a difference! Don Rodd Provincial Coordinator PEI Crime Stoppers President’s Message 2020 has come and gone and will be remembered as a challenging time for many of us. Once again, it is my honour and privilege to extend my sincerest thanks to our dedicated Board of volunteers, police advisors past and present and our Coordinator, Don Rodd for the many hours of volunteer time and support of our PEI Crime Stoppers program. Considering the current logistical obstacles, they continue champion the goal of ensuring that PEI Crime Stoppers continues to contribute to public safety in our province. We continue our community service through the Tips program, Twitter, Facebook and our website, anti-bullying work, close cooperation with PEI police services, and other public safety initiatives where possible. We ask you to take the time to review the unsolved crimes, missing person notices, and messages from our Island police services to help us work for a safer PEI.
