1 www.peicrimestoppers.com 2020 has been an unexpected year for Prince Edward Island. It has called on Islanders from every community to change our way of life. While our province has been fortunate with a small number of COVID-19 cases, and as we ease back gradually the measures to renew PEI, together, we recognize that the law enforcement community of Prince Edward Island played an important role in the provincial response. The Government of Prince Edward Island recognizes the important work that Crime Stoppers does for Island communities, and in particular this year, the enhanced role they have played to support the public health measures we have in place. Islanders appreciate having an alternative crime reporting service that can provide them the confidence and security of knowing their concerns are being heard confidentially. During these challenging times, the service this organization is needed more than ever when people are feeling uncertain and anxious.
