He enlisted on July 15, 1940, discharged on December 15, 1945. He was a private in the Prince Edward Island Highlanders and served in the North Atlantic Area, United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean Area and Continental Europe. For his service, he received the 1939-1945 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 1 for approximately 45 years. Joe passed away in 1995. McALDUFF, Justin Charles WWII Justin was born in Alberton District, son of Charles and Dorothy Sarah (Gillis) McAlduff. He enlisted in the Army on February 5, 1942 and was discharged on March 12, 1946. He served as a Private in the #6 District Depot C.A. in the United Kingdom, Holland and Germany. McALDUFF, John James WWI John was born in Alberton, PEI. He served in the Canadian Army with the New Brunswick Regiment, 44th Battalion. He was killed in action while serving in World War I.
